About Anchor Baptist Church

In July 2008 God had clearly opened doors for us to plant a new independent Baptist Church.  Immediately we began to pray "where" and after a few weeks of seeking God's will for our new church plant He made it clear that Vermilion, Ohio would be the place.

We began preparing right away and spent six months on deputation, visiting churches, and raising support for this new work.  There have been numerous churches and Pastors that have assisted us in some way or another, this has been vital part to the success of Anchor Baptist Church, laboring together to get the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Vermilion, Ohio.

Our first Sunday was April 5, 2009 and God has provided everything we have needed up to our first Sunday and since we have been under way.

We have had a tremendous response since starting and are still seeing new visitors.  We work at visiting homes, giving out gospel tracts, and simply being a faithful Gospel witness here in Vermilion.

God continues to open doors for us and gives us many opportunties for ministry:

Regular weekly services that are Bible-Based & Christ centered.
Nursing Home ministry.
Visitation.
Youth Group.
Van Ministry.
Vacation Bible School.
Missions Conference
Fall Revival Tent Meeting
